The only public ‘square’ in London – not a park – is Lincoln Inn Fields. It provides a wonderful break from the rush of the city, with ancient trees to sit under as you watch the dog walkers, the barristers and other city folk stroll by. There is a delightful cafe and tennis players to watch, most of the year. And let’s not forget the wildlife. Birds, squirrels and even occasional foxes call this home.
Getting there
Holborn is closest tube to the square – it’s on the Central and Piccadilly lines.
