Lockdown during the pandemic in March 2020 meant many things. One of the pluses was that central London was the quietest I have ever seen it in over 30 years. Standing in the middle of a deserted road, in the, normally, busiest part of London was surreal. And a joy. Streets were empty, birds were singing with no competition from the traffic and it had a wonderful calm about it. It was also a great opportunity to take the streets with a camera. Here are just a few of those snaps.
Getting there
Most of these photographs are taken around Covent Garden and Fleet Street. Covent Garden tube is on the Piccadilly line. For Fleet Street try Holborn tube on the Piccadilly and Central line or Embankment on the District and Circle lines.
